Job Detail | Ø Carry out electrical maintenance work on equipment such as switchboards, generators, battery chargers, emergency diesel generators, distribution boards, MCC's, water treatment units and motors. Ø Operate and maintain MV Variable Frequency Drives, UPS Systems, LV/MV Switchgear, Power Generation and Electrical Protection Schemes and Devices. Ø Maintain and rectify ECS/PMS (Electrical Control Systems/Power Management Systems) Ø Pre-commission and commissioning of electrical installations. Ø Carry out electrical installations specific to the making off, glanding and final termination of LV and MV XLPE steel wired braided armoured cables. Ø Perform equipment repairs, preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance within skill set. Ø Communicate timely and effectively with all levels on facility electrical issues, work status, emergencies, etc. Ø Maintain and rectify Generator Sets / reciprocating engines preferred (CAT / Jenbacher etc) Ø Read drawings and parts lists to aid in fault finding and to develop bills of material for project related work. Ø Maintain and check availability of all electrical equipment, including but not limited to process equipment, small power and lighting, workshop machines and portable electrical equipment and lights. Ø Operate various components on the medium voltage distribution electrical system including isolation switches, soft starters, load banks, fused cutouts, and voltage regulators; isolates and clears sections of the system for maintenance, installation and load shedding. Ø Diagnose and repair electrical problems in electrical systems, including fault-finding, rewiring, and monitoring. Ø Rewire faulty electrical systems, such as lighting, dummy load banks, and alarms. Ø Find present faults and concerns in electrical systems without receiving explicit direction. Ø Diagnose and rectify electrical faults on electrical equipment on-site or on the workshop, as applicable. Includes generating equipment, various types of motors and electrical control systems. Ø Check and maintain electric welding sets, Power tools and routine inspection and servicing of split ACs and refrigerated equipment, Check batteries and recharge as necessary. Ø Check, maintain and rectify all equipment installed on-site and to locate equipment manuals Ø Ensure the availability of optimized inventory of Electrical related spares, tools and equipment. Provide feedback during preparation of purchase requisitions of pertinent spares and tools. Ø Perform all additional duties as assigned by Chairman or any superior officer on his behalf.
