We are seeking an experienced and skilled Operation Specialist to join our team. As an Operation Specialist, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of pipelines, reciprocating engines, compressors, motors, cooling equipment, pumps, gas process equipment, valves, seals, and other related equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain engines, pumps, and process equipment within defined operating parameters as required
Diagnose and repair engines, compressors, pumps, seals, valves, and related equipment
Install and service valves, pipelines, appurtenances, and storage well equipment
Maintain the upkeep and maintenance of facilities and equipment
Represent the company during contacts with landowners/tenants, public officials, and at local meetings
Perform governmental compliance activities (DOT, EPA, etc.)
Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns
Actively participate in safety programs
Complete all applicable documentation and record keeping
Perform all work in compliance within company standards and procedures
Requirements:
Two years trade school formal training/significant work experience or Associates degree highly desirable
Knowledge/familiarity of compressor or pump station terminal and transmission pipeline systems operations
Basic mechanical skills in the repair of engines, compressors, pumps, etc.
Must be available for response to required work conditions and emergency response after regular business hours
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers
Basic computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, Excel, and Word)
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules as well as take on additional job responsibilities as needed
Be able to withstand extreme weather conditions with the majority of work being outside
Ability to perform physical requirements of the position including but not limited to working in tight spaces, walking up and down stairs and ladders, negotiating uneven surfaces, and carrying up to 50 pounds
Maintain a regular and dependable attendance and a high level of performance
Achieve and maintain all Operator Qualification tasks as required to the job classification
Successful completion of drug screen and background check upon offer
