Process Technician Wanted for Mitsui Chemicals Group in Singapore
Mitsui Chemicals Group is currently seeking a Process Technician to join our team in Singapore. The role is on-site and offers learning and development opportunities, as well as great employee welfare benefits. A company bus transport pick-up near MRT station is also provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and maintain manufacturing process operations by physically performing tasks such as process control, equipment monitoring, and in-process analysis
- Ensure that the production process strictly follows company safety standards and environmental regulations, and that product quality is within customer's requirements
- Support Shift Supervisor in handling plant start-up, shutdown, and manufacturing process according to established procedures
- Perform routine tasks required to maintain the manufacturing process, such as monitoring process parameters, plant patrolling, data logging, and housekeeping
- Ensure safe working conditions by taking corrective actions to maintain equipment and process conditions within safe operating limits
- Perform company emergency response in areas of firefighting, rescue, and loss containment
- Maintain plant safety equipment through routine checks
- Execute predictive maintenance to identify and prepare equipment for maintenance before breakdown
- Prepare or update standard operating procedures based on acquired experience and new technical know-how
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Chemical and Pharmaceutical Technology, NITEC in Chemical Process Technology, Higher NITEC in Chemical Technology, or a related discipline with at least 4 years of relevant experience
- Entry-level candidates without experience are welcome to apply
- Knowledge in Distributed Control System is advantageous
- Effective team player with good communication skills and high self-motivation
- Able to perform rotating shift work and overtime when required
- Willing to work in Jurong Island
