DCS Operator - Utilities Operations

We are looking for a DCS Operator to join our team and ensure the safe and efficient production of our plant. The successful candidate will monitor the plant continuously and provide instructions to outside operators as needed. They will also discuss the quality of the product with the laboratory staff and take appropriate action in case of an emergency.
The ideal candidate will have a Science High school Graduate or a Diploma in Chemical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in a similar position for Utilities and Offsite DCS Operation.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain normal operating parameters of the plant as per the established standards and adjust parameters to optimize production
- Minimize hydrocarbon losses to flare
- Record daily consumption, production, and inventories of product and raw material streams
- Report any unsafe, unusual, and abnormal conditions in the plant to Shift Supervisor for action
- Check laboratory results, file it & take corrective actions under shift supervisor’s guidance
- Respond and troubleshoot process alarms, upsets, and coordinate with SS, field operator to normalize it
- Motivate and train new staff to maximize subordinate and plant performance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within the plant to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services, and a responsible environmental attitude.
